About Kings County Home Care Services

Kings County Home Care Services Ltd. is one of the oldest and largest independent Home Care providers in New Brunswick.

Established in 1985 in Sussex, New Brunswick, it started with a few Employees, women who had raised a family and knew the difference they could make with these "Life Skills"; and a few Clients provided by the Department of Social Development, Clients who needed some help, some caring, some home support. In the early 1990's the company expanded the business by moving its head office to the Kennebecasis Valley in Rothesay, New Brunswick, a suburb of Saint John. The company has continued to grow its Client and Employee base since then.

In June, 2003, Bill Thorne, President of Kings County Home Care Services Ltd. purchased Brunswick Home Care Ltd. in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and in September 2008 the purchase of Vickers Home Care took place to further expand its role in providing quality home care services throughout the Sussex, Saint John and Fredericton areas. Today we have a combined work force of approximately 120 dedicated Employees, including administrative staff in all four offices, to service our Clients.

We are a privately owned company that provides quality home care and support services to Seniors, Veterans, and people of all ages who have some disabilities or special needs. Our Employees have varied training and experience to meet the many needs of our Clients. We carefully assess the needs of our Clients and select the Employee with the appropriate background to best meet their requirements. Our Service Co-ordinators introduced the matched Employee to the Client in the Client's home prior to starting service to ensure compatibility.
